Jump to

Transferring funds from Coinbase to KuCoin couldn’t be simpler. Both are prominent cryptocurrency exchange platforms and those who are serious about getting into the cryptocurrency industry need to have more than one cryptowallet to be able to get the most out of the exchange market. But what does this mean and how do you transfer funds from Coinbase into KuCoin?

How to Transfer from Coinbase to KuCoin

The way in which you make your transfer will depend on the platform that you’re using – this article will look at how to do this using the web platform, as well as the iOS and Android apps.

Web

  1. Log into your Coinbase account (you will be prompted to complete the two-factor verification process, so you do need to have your mobile/cell phone handy, or have access to your Google account.)
  2. Navigate to your portfolio page (which can be found in the main navigation bar.)
  3. Click on the send button.
  4. When the send pop up opens, select wallet address in order to transfer funds to your KuCoin wallet.
  5. At this stage, you’ll need to copy the direct link of your KuCoin wallet into the wallet address field.
  6. Enter the amount of cryptocurrency that you’d like to transfer to your KuCoin wallet in the amount field. You can enter an amount in fiat currency as well, but the exchange will still be completed as cryptocurrency.
  7. Click continue.
  8. A confirmation screen will then appear and will ask you to confirm the details of the transaction.
  9. Click confirm to complete the send.
  10. The transfer time can vary between a few minutes and a few hours, depending on the size of the transaction and the number of confirmations that are needed. Keep refreshing your KuCoin wallet to keep track of your transfer.

iOS

  1. Once you have opened your iOS app, select the menu icon (which is near the top left-hand side of the screen). This will open the navigation bar.
  2. Select the wallet that you want to transfer to – in this case KuCoin.
  3. Tap on the paper aeroplane icon on the top right-hand side of your screen
  4. Enter the amount that you would like to send to your KuCoin wallet (you can use the up and down arrows to switch between currencies.)
  5. Select send.
  6. Enter the crypto address for your KuCoin wallet (this can be found on the assets menu of the KuCoin app)
  7. You can then review the details of the transaction, then select send in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  8. As with transferring via the web platform, this can take a while before it reaches your KuCoin wallet. Keep refreshing your KuCoin wallet on your app to keep track of your transfer.

You can also make a transfer using a QR code. Once you have received your code, this is how to make the transfer:

  1. Select the QR icon on the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Take a picture/screenshot of the QR code.
  3. Enter the amount that you would like to transfer and select continue.
  4. Review the details of the transaction, then select send in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Android

  1. Once you have opened your Android app and logged in, tap on the menu icon near the top left-hand corner of the screen. This will then open the navigation bar.
  2. Select the wallet that you wish to transfer to, which is KuCoin.
  3. Tap on the + icon, which can be found near the lower right hand of the screen.
  4. Select send.

  6. Enter the direct address for your KuCoin wallet (which, as with the Ios app, can be found in the assets menu of the KuCoin app).
  7. Review the details of the transaction, then tap on the forward arrow (which is in the upper right-hand corner of your screen).
